Jim has been in the financial services industry since 1983. After graduating from Miami University with a degree in accounting, Jim started his career as a corporate accountant. As an Accounting Manager, Jim often investigated financial variances and discrepancies which developed his strong analytical skills. Jim also became aware that many employees did not understand their 401k plans and made uninformed decisions on how to invest.
Realizing his skills and ability to help a growing need of individuals to manage their personal finances, Jim became a Financial Advisor in 1993. The analytical skills Jim acquired as an accountant have enabled him to carefully investigate and analyze a client’s financial picture. This allows Jim to match a client’s financial goals and risk tolerance to an appropriate financial solution.
Among other activities, Jim has served in the past as Chairman of his church’s Finance Committee and is a current member and Past President of the Elyria Sunrise Rotary.
Jim grew up in Elyria and lived there until moving to Avon in 2000, where he currently resides with his wife, Kim, a Speech Pathologist, and children Matthew and Jennifer.
